Shadows Over Texas: Three Pulp Fiction Horror Classics

Legendary fantasy and horror writer Robert E. Howard (1906 - 1936) penned many ground-breaking and genre-shaping short stories during his too-short lifetime and career. His true desire, however, was to be write historical fiction in general and to write stories about the people and places in the Great American Southwest where he lived.

The three stories in Shadows Over Texas: Three Pulp Fiction Horror Classics Set in the Lone Star State hail from the dark place where Howard's gifts for writing bone-chilling horror and bone-crunching action crossed paths with his dreams of being a writer of regional fiction. They are tales with a uniquely Southwestern flair with action so frenetic and horror so black that they may be counted among the he ever wrote.

Shadows Over Texas contains "The Horror from the Mound," "The Man on the Ground," "Black Wind Blowing," and a preface from editor Steve Miller. It is presented in PDF format, which is ideal for reading on iPads and the iPod Touch.

Shadows Over Texas is available at DriveThruFiction.com.
